The Kündig Group is an almost 100 year old, family owned production and trading company with headquarters in Zurich and further locations in Thuringia and Berlin. Kündig offers high-quality vegetable raw materials in organic and conventional quality and an extensive range of services in the area of food processing. At the production site in Ritschenhausen (Thuringia), one of the most modern processing plants in Europe, Kündig processes annually more than 10,000 tons of dried vegetables, spices, herbs, mushrooms, legumes and various raw ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry. The products can be granulated in various degrees, ground into powder, pre-cooked or roasted according to customer requirements. With the specially developed Kündig Food Safety Tower®, Kündig has succeeded in creating a market-oriented innovation for reliable foreign object management.

With the brand Biosteril®, Kündig is the market leader in the natural steam sterilization of dried foodstuffs. Germ counts in seeds, herbs, tea, spices, dried mushrooms, dried vegetables and pharmaceutical raw ingredients for the pharmaceutical raw materials can be effectively reduced with a vacuum-steam-vacuum process, while preserving the sensory properties such as color, taste and oil content.

The Kündig Group has been consistently expanding its commitment to organically grown products since the 1970s. With Kündig Bio Agrarprodukte GmbH (Berlin) the group has a team of specialist who are concerned about impeccable organic quality. Employees visit each producer several times a year. At Kündig, not only the organic cereals, legumes and oil seeds, but also the processed oil cakes and pellets can be traced back to the field where they originated with 100% batch accuracy.
