About Mükon Brauerei

Brewing beer - the possibility to create a fine alcoholic drink with natural products - has fascinated me for a long time.

At the very beginning, my wife gave me an ingenious gift for my wedding day. She gave me a beer brewing course together with good friends in a bigger brewery - a real men's day. The foundation was laid and it was brewed diligently for us and our friends - all for private use only.

With the possibility to brew beer in my small washhouse, the long cherished wish to make my own beer came true.

With malt, hops and yeast so much can be experimented and interesting constellations and tastes come out. I don't think much of the purity law and I like to add something else to the wort kettle.

After the reconstruction of the brewing rooms and all necessary papers, patents and Zügs, MÜKON was born in spring 2016. The output in 2016 was 28hl with a deflection quantity of 150 litres with 2 breweries. In the current year it is the goal to reach the 100hl with a deflection quantity of 400 litres with 2 brewing plants.

It is our passion to breathe that certain something into the beer. There are plenty of lager beers. With our small brewery we hope to enrich the diversity of these standard beers. I hope with the corn beer, the Citra wheat and the Black IPA we were able to broaden the horizon of the Swiss small breweries and their creations a bit.

We are very interested in exploring the limits and trying out new, typical and untypical flavours such as raspberry and chocolate, how does it taste in beer? Or how does student food taste in beer? Questions that should be answered this year :-)
