Space tomatoes: Satellite with greenhouse launched into space

A greenhouse satellite of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to test the cultivation of tomatoes and other vegetables on the moon or Mars has successfully launched into space. "Eu:Cropis" was launched on Monday from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the USA on board a rocket of the private space company SpaceX, SpaceX and DLR announced. The aim of the satellite's Research is to provide astronauts with fresh tomatoes and other vegetables for distant missions.
