Metal detectors help food manufacturers and processors to detect metal contaminants in food before they reach the consumer. This increases food safety and helps in certification according to common food standards such as IFS, BRC, SQF or FSSC22000. THiNK - the new software developed for the Sesotec metal detector INTUITY - works with artificial intelligence and can fade out these "interfering signals" much better than conventional metal detectors. This means that even the strictest specifications for foreign object detection can be met and product recalls can be avoided. At the same time, THiNK reduces unintentional false rejections to a minimum, thus helping to avoid food waste. THiNK even finds metal contamination in products with metallized packaging.
