Foundation mission
Since its establishment by Karl Ludwig Schweisfurth in 1985, the Schweisfurth Foundation has been promoting paths to a future worth living. Sustainability in dealing with nature is just as important as the creative shaping of cultural contexts. It therefore feels just as committed to forward thinkers of the future as it does to practitioners and artists in the fields of nutrition, health, agriculture, animal husbandry, education and training.
Innovative commitment to creating real quality of life is particularly important.
Purposes of the foundation
- The promotion of science, in particular the research and development of healthy, natural nutrition, natural and environmentally friendly methods of agriculture and the natural and species-appropriate keeping of animals, taking into account a more sustainable use of natural resources, including the intelligent use of energy and construction methods appropriate to people and nature, as well as work that respects people and nature. - the promotion of education. - the promotion of art and culture as a contribution to a creative and careful approach to the natural and social environment. - the promotion of youth and elderly care. - the promotion of development aid.

The Schweisfurth Foundation is looking for people or institutions who support the work of the foundation through endowments or donations, people who have a similar concern but are reluctant to set up their own foundation. Special focuses can also be individually designed.
