EkoConnect - Internationales Zentrum für den Ökologischen Landbau Mittel- und Osteuropas e. V.

EkoConnect is a non-profit organization based in Dresden, Germany, founded in mid-2003 by a group of international organic experts. EkoConnect acts as an information and networking center for the exchange of information, knowledge and experience in the organic farming, animal husbandry, processing, organization and marketing sectors. The central pool of information and contacts at EkoConnect provides answers to questions about organic farming that arise among many stakeholders in the East and West. EkoConnect also promotes encounters and exchanges between people active in the sector and their organizations. In addition, EkoConnect has its core competence in the networking of existing activities and works intensively with private and public institutions in Eastern and Western Europe. EkoConnect's contact and competence circle includes experts and organizations in organic farming from all parts of Europe who have many years of experience in setting up structures for organic farming. A Europe-wide network of supporters and volunteer translators helps to transfer the know-how to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. EkoConnect is a member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), the European umbrella organization for organic food and agriculture (IFOAM EU Group) and the European Forum for Farm and Rural Advisory Services (EUFRAS).
