Cavanna S.p.A.

Cavanna S.p.A. was founded in 1960 by Mario Cavanna with the aim of developing flowpack packaging machines for the main Italian food companies. The timing was perfect, as the widespread expansion of large-scale retail outlets meant that companies in the food sector were growing rapidly. Gradually, Cavanna also developed solutions for downstream and upstream machines in the production chain, thanks to the collaboration with important Italian companies. Since 2001, the second generation has been responsible for managing the company: Riccardo and Alessandra Cavanna are both Managing Directors. Thanks to the constant increase in customer satisfaction and strategic growth, Cavanna now has four production plants: the main plant in Prato Sesia (Italy), a production plant in Mappano (Italy), a production plant in Embu (Sao Paulo) Brazil, and the addition of the Cavanna Packaging Inc. plant in Duluth, GA (USA), where flowpack packaging machines, automatic loading systems, conveyor belts, buffer systems and secondary packaging solutions, such as multi-packs for several single-dose units, are developed and produced directly. Today, the Cavanna Group has more than 5,000 complete production lines and individual packaging machines installed and more than 900 customers worldwide.
