Welcome to Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH

Sugar - also referred to as oligo- and mono-saccharides - fulfill a multitude of essential functions in the human body. Along with the most commonly known function of supplying the organism with the required energy, sugar molecules play a central role in fundamental functions of the human organism. Specific oligosaccharides, for example, play a considerable role in the cell-to-cell communication or the development and functioning of the neuronal- and immune-system of humans.

These specific oligosaccharides, which show additional functional characteristics in addition to just being a source of energy for the human body, are mostly very complex molecules that are extremely scarce. Although the beneficial effects of these saccharides are mostly scientifically proven and known for several years or even decades, the use of these was often not possible, yet, due to the lack of scalable and efficient production processes. Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH has the commitment to develop efficient and scalable production processes, which allow the industrial production of these rare oligo- and mono-saccharides. In consequence, the innovative production processes of Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH enable the supply of large quantities of these mono- and oligsaccarides, and hence will provide access to them for various applications for the benefit of the consumer. By its activities and efforts, Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH strives to contribute to the well-being and health of the consumer.
