We are one of the most important food chains and supermarkets in the world. And the creators of the discount store. Our history dates back to 1945, when brothers Theo and Karl Albrecht took over the grocery business that their family had run in Essen, Germany, since 1913. From the very beginning, we have always taken into account the importance of knowing the customer and giving them what they need at the best price.

We continue to cultivate this spirit in our more than 5,000 stores in 9 countries. We opened our first supermarket in Spain in 2002 and we already have more than 300 stores. One of our main assets is the quality of our products, which we achieve by sourcing from the best local, national and international suppliers and by offering our own brands such as El Mercado de ALDI, Special de ALDI, Milsani, GutBio, Biocura, Mildeen and others. We focus on the essentials: the comfort and functionality of the stores, the high standards we set ourselves in selecting the best products and the qualification of our employees, so that all this promotes the best experience for the customer.
