Tradewinds – a brand name in parasols synonymous with superior and good styling, consistency and reliability. In addition to the traditional wooden sun umbrella, the range has been developed to include stainless steel and aluminium products.

Based at the Head Office in Cape Town, the factory has a full service facility incorporating the Processing Plant (wood, aluminium and stainless steel frames), CMT (cut, make and trim) producing canvas tops as well as the Print workshop where branded images are screen-printed onto the canvas. The centralization of the whole process and the installation of leading-edge accounting and quality assurance systems ensure that Tradewinds can offer product and service excellence.

Winner of the Nelson Mandela Merit Award for Export in 1998/99, Tradewinds found a niche in the high specification parasol market with its premier product, the Tradewinds Classic Parasol. This superior product is made from durable hardwoods, harvested from renewable resources. From early on, this classic range of hardwood sun umbrellas set the international industry standard.

Used both locally and internationally for branding by multi-nationals such as; Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Becks, Heineken, Stella Artois, Schweppes, Minute Maid, Bacardi, Bollinger and Smirnoff – the Tradewinds Parasols has become an important outdoor media vehicle for communications campaigns.
