The history of Ferrero began in a small town called Alba in Piedmont, Italy, in 1946. Today, Ferrero is one of the market leaders in the confectionery sector with a consolidated turnover of more than 10 billion euros and is the third largest group in the world in the chocolate products market.

The Ferrero Group employs 41,000 people in 53 countries and has 22 production facilities around the world, three of which are part of the Michele Ferrero Entrepreneurial Project in Africa and Asia. In addition, the Group established the Ferrero Hazelnut Company (HCo) in early 2015, which includes six farming companies and eight production facilities. Ferrero products such as Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaello, Tic Tac and the children's range are sold in more than 170 countries; they have become part of the collective memory and customs in many countries where they are loved by generation after generation and are often considered cultural landmarks.
