one:47 was founded by Torben & Chris. Both have always been on average sensitive to hangovers. It is true that the hangover gets worse with age, but some start with a big handicap.

Why is the suffering of people so different with a comparable amount of alcohol? That was the initial question that occupied both of them - even before they knew each other.

In 2014, Torben and Chris first met in a Buddhist monastery. In search of time out and reflection, they took up the offer of a mutual friend to get away for a few days. And although there was no professional talk, it quickly clicked on both and two weeks later a first office was rented.

Since then, almost 4 years have passed in which much has been tried out, worked on and learned. The first product version was completely self-developed and in a completely different guise. In 2016 the cooperation with molecular biologists of the University of Mainz followed. one:47 was updated to the latest and highest scientific standards and the design was revised.
