Since its foundation in 1839 by Ottmar Herz, cheese and services from our company have been bearing the Herz name. We live our values: tradition, love of our homeland and down-to-earthness. And we live the future. We deliberately speak of a company rather than a business. Proactively doing something rather than just running it is our understanding of surviving in the market through consistency.

We officially and completely call ourselves Allgäuer Sennereien & Käsegroßhandlung Albert Herz GmbH and have been based in our modern headquarters in Kimratshofen, a district of Altusried, since 2003. Everything under one roof: administration, quality assurance, development and marketing through to state-of-the-art production facilities for cheese maturing and packaging. Since 2010, a new production building has complemented our headquarters, where we have put additional state-of-the-art packaging lines into operation.

And this is to be taken literally, as our core competence is the production and distribution of high-quality cheese specialties. As a modern service company, we offer not only cheese specialties but also sophisticated solutions for external cheese dairies and retail customers. That is our claim, and that is the only way you should measure us.

We are always open to trends such as cheese with unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids and innovative packaging solutions. We keep a close eye on customer wishes in order to constantly expand and optimize our product range. The best cheese for good customers. That is our maxim.
