Lisaqua

Created in 2018 in Nantes, Lisaqua is a #deeptech start-up that is revolutionising aquaculture by developing an aquaculture production system with low environmental impact.

Lisaqua has developed "permaquaculture", a patented co-culture technology coupling prawns, micro-organisms and marine invertebrates in indoor closed circuit aquaculture farms. This environmentally friendly farming method eliminates 100% of antibiotics, saves 99% of water compared to conventional farming, and preserves mangroves.

Since 2019, Lisaqua has been raising and marketing the first fresh, local, environmentally friendly prawns with a "triple zero" guarantee: zero antibiotics, zero kilometres travelled and zero polluting emissions.

Lisaqua is finalising the construction of the first gambas farm in France, with a production of 10 tonnes as of spring 2022.

Lisaqua's objective is to deploy a network of large-scale farms near the main French and European cities.
