Hottenlocher Hofgemeinschaft

Between the Danube, Lake Constance and Hegau, "at the end of the world and then turn right twice" (quote: Rheinischer Merkur), lies the Hottenlocher Hof in the municipality of Mühlingen, idyllically surrounded by greenery, with a view of the Swiss Alps. The farm is currently home to three families with seven children, around 45 dairy cows and their offspring, a bull, two ponies, six runner ducks, dogs and cats and other small animals that feel connected to the farm. In addition, the community is often extended by apprentices, trainees and many visitors. The heart of the farm is the herd of dairy cows. They provide the milk, which we then process into soft and semi-hard cheese and yoghurt in our cheese dairy. The approximately 60 calves, young cattle and fattening animals serve as offspring or as slaughter animals for meat and sausage products.
