Recent changes in California regulations require companies to ensure that they sell products with clean, tested cannabis, while ensuring that all processes comply with state and local laws. Entrepreneurs are eager to find companies that can operate within the California legal framework. The cannabis market in California is estimated at $7.7 billion by 2021. Chemesis believes that there are assets and services that companies need to succeed in a compliant market.

Chemesis will use the recently acquired Desert Zen Fulfilment facility for this food expansion and expects products to be launched in the first quarter of 2019. Chemesis intends to enter the market with gums, chewy sweets, chocolates, brownies, biscuits and other food products. These products will be manufactured for Chemesis' own brands as well as white labeling for other companies.

"Chemesis continues to enter the most lucrative and important product categories," said Edgar Montero, CEO of Chemesis. "Management is implementing a strategic business plan that will allow companies to leverage Chemesis for all their products and needs, making us a one-stop shop. Recent regulatory changes have put pressure on companies to find compliant manufacturing and distribution. Chemesis continues to ensure that it is a top choice for companies.

Entering the edible food category is another strategic step in our long-term business plan to ensure that we build long-term relationships that deliver a steady stream of revenue." (dpa)
