Thermoplan AG

Thermoplan AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of special appliances for the food service industry. The company has been based in Weggis, in the heart of the Swiss mountains, since 1985 and is home to the three production plants of this successful company. Thermoplan first set foot in the world of gastronomy in 1984 with the "Whipper" whipped cream machine. The appliance quickly became the world market leader among its peers.

Cold whipped cream was followed by hot milk foam, in line with the trend for cappuccino drinking, which was successfully produced with the "Foamino" and "Foamer" machines in 1990.

The decision to be able to supply the coffee for the cappuccino as well as the milk foam was obvious and therefore inevitable. Thus, in 1995, the "Black&White" fully automatic coffee machine was born and rapid growth of the company immediately followed.

Esther and Domenic Steiner, owners of Thermoplan, immediately invested the fruits of their fame in new buildings, developments and employees. The still small company was thus equipped for a bright future.

In 1999, the company was able to supply the first coffee machines to the Starbucks coffee house chain and a wonderful partnership was born. Thanks to the modular construction principle and the fantastic milk foam quality, other major customers were brought on board over the years.

Today, around 200 employees call Thermoplan their second home and look forward to supplying you with the highest Swiss quality.
