About Wholifoods

Our vision is to create a more sustainable and globally responsible food culture through delicious and healthy foods with bugs.

INSECTS ARE GOOD FOR YOU By eating insects such as crickets and buffalo worms you gain many of the important nutrients that you otherwise get from eating fish, beef and rye bread - at once! Insects are generally high in protein (with the full amino-acid composition), rich in vitamin B12, Omega-3, fibre, iron and magnesium. INSECTS ARE SUSTAINABLE TO PRODUCE Insects are far more sustainable to produce than other protein sources, particularly beef. In terms of how much greenhouse gas is emitted, how much land, water and feed it requires to produce 1kg of food, insects are very climate friendly compared to most other sources of protein. Insects even take up less land and require less water than producing soy beans. INSECTS ARE DELICIOUS There are almost 2000 types of edible insects, each offering unique culinary potential that until now has gone widely unexplored. We create delicious products by taking our inspiration from ancient traditions of eating insects in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and combining it with new and healthy food styles from our own Nordic background. We also support smallholder cricket farmers in Cambodia through our partnership with DanChurchAid.
