IPCO steel belts have been used for food processing for almost 100 years. Applications range from simple conveyors to continuous processes such as cooling / solidifying / drying / dewatering, conditioning, pouring, freezing, baking and finishing. The company supplies belts made of carbon steel or stainless steel for various applications. The steel belts can be manufactured as smooth belts or with a perforation. Perforated steel belts are a more durable and lighter alternative to wire mesh belts. One of the main advantages of using steel belts in food processing is the assurance of maximum hygiene; the strength, flatness and durability of a smooth steel belt allow for easy and effective cleaning and sanitizing. As a result, IPCO stainless steel belts are often used for GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant processes.
