Always getting bigger – always getting better
The figures from the Gulfood Manufacturing 2016 trade show, which took place in the Dubai World Trade Center from 7 to 9 November, sound like superlatives: 1,500 exhibitors from 58 countries and 32,000+ visitors from 158 countries. All of them figures with double-digit growth rates which clearly signalise the trend in the 3-year history of the trade show: the market for the food industry is growing.
GPS Reisacher and its subsidiary HAJEK Maschinenbau – who took part in the Gulfood for the first time – spoke of an unqualified success. “The group was able to present its extensive solutions in the field of vacuum packaging to a broad, international audience,” said Alexander Kult, Product Manager of the packaging systems Division. The great interest shown by visitors was confirmed in a great many customer meetings at a high specialist level with challenging tasks, varied emphases and technical details.
Our Iranian representative, the agency Siyan Tejarat, particularly used the trade show to present the recently developed HAJEK thermoform packaging machine, the VSM 30, in response to customer interest from Iran.

A strong international presentation of all company services
The presentation of extensive solutions and services along the entire value creation chain was also the main focus of interest at the trade show in Dubai. From machines to consumables, spare parts and retrofits, repairs and service, second-hand offers (used machines) and on to financial services (hire/leasing), there was a convincing portfolio to present to specialist visitors from the Gulf states, Iran, India, Pakistan, North and East Africa. The first deals took place there with a fish producer from the Seychelles. GPS Reisacher and Hajek are also expecting a busy follow-up to the trade show as well as a qualitative expansion of contacts to potential customers from this region.

GPS Reisacher presented information on its extensive range of used machines for the food industry. There was a special focus on complete slicing and packaging lines.
