Der Ludwig

Master butcher Paul Ludwig was already producing in Sondershausen in Thuringia with the highest quality standards. This principle has remained unchanged since April 2, 1897. Today, the EU-approved slaughtering, cutting and production plant in the climatic health resort of Schlüchtern/East Hesse and our strict quality system guarantee the consistently high quality of our meat and sausage products, which are produced according to sustainable standards.

Responsibly managed farms in the beautiful landscapes of the Rhön, Vogelsberg, Spessart and Lower Franconia are home to our slaughter animals. Lush grass, healthy meadow herbs and cereals form the feed basis for the animals from which we get our delicious, fresh meat twice a week. Our motivation is to regard animals as living beings and to treat them as such. We hold safety and sustainable action in the highest esteem. We take personal responsibility for this. By slaughtering and butchering our own animals, we have access to freshly slaughtered meat for sausage production and meat production. We are very conscious of environmental protection and ecology.

We offer a wide range of meat thanks to our own slaughterhouse. The delicious smell of fresh meat and sausage products wafts through the sausage kitchen into our sales room. The aroma awakens the desire for a healthy diet and a unique taste experience. With this natural, rustic pleasure, people like to spoil themselves and others. The utmost importance is attached to hygiene and cleanliness in sausage production. Careful handling of excellent products, playing with spices and aromas and the variety in the search for a new creation - that is our everyday life.

Ludwig is not a factory with humming conveyor belts, soulless machines and fully automated production processes, where someone switches the lever to ON in the morning and the finished piece comes out at the end.
