Cocktail candy: New York shop to offer gummy bears with a twist
Beer- and champagne-flavoured gummy bears will soon be available for consumers in New York looking for a little more bite in their chewy candies.
Sugarfina, a gourmet candy store based in Beverly Hills, California, says it will offer its boozy version of gummy bears "for grownups" when it opens a new location in New York City on Friday.
The company sells a variety of alcohol-flavored candy. In addition to beer- and champagne-flavoured gummy bears, its new New York location will also offer gummy pale ale pints imported from Germany.
While most of the beer- and champagne-flavored products are non-alcoholic, there are some other types of candy with actual alcohol content.
Sugarfina, which opened in 2012, is tapping into a growing industry on adult-oriented candy stores, according to data from Yahoo Finance reports. (dpa)
