Walker will report to Jeff Harmening, chairman and chief executive officer, and will join the company’s global senior leadership team. Christina Law, current Group President, Asia & Latin America, will be leaving General Mills at the end of February 2019.
“I would like to thank Christina for her strong contribution to General Mills since she joined in 2012, and especially for her significant leadership over the last two years to establish our Asia & Latin America segment for growth through the consolidation of three historically separate regions of Greater China, Asia, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. She has built a great organization with elevated capabilities, and put in place robust strategies and business foundations to enable the segment for accelerated growth.” said Harmening.
Walker is a 29-year veteran of General Mills with extensive experience building businesses and organizations across multiple countries and served as President of General Mills Latin America from 2009 to 2015. Prior to joining General Mills, Walker worked for the Hershey Company and Nestlé.
