Raw Macadamia Nuts Sold At Whole Foods Market Recalled Over Salmonella Risk

Marin Foods Specialties Inc. is recalling packaged raw macadamia nuts sold at Whole Foods Market Stores in certain locations due to possible contamination with the deadly Salmonella bacteria.
Packaged in 6 oz clear plastic tubs, the recalled products have "best by" dates of 8/21/16 through 11/6/16, a UPC code of 99948200132, and were distributed only to Whole Foods Market stores in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
Customers who have purchased the recalled product at Whole Foods Market stores in the above-mentioned states are requested to discard it and may submit their receipt for a full refund.
No illnesses associated with the recalled product have been reported to date. (dpa)
